Vecindario

Vecindario a city on Gran Canaria

Undoubtedly you will feel well in the south of Gran Canaria. However, I would like to bring to the southeast of the island. There we will find the town of Vecindario. This is situated next to the GC-1 motorway. Vecindario belongs to the province of Las Palmas, and is located in the district of Santa Lucia de Tirajana. Will you come with on a discovery tour ...

Municipalities belonging to Vecindario are Casa Santa, Pozo Izquierdo, Barranquillo, El Doctoral, San Pedro Mártir, La Pare Dilla, La Cerruda, Hoya Pavón, San Rafael, El Canario, Casa Pastores, La Unión, Cruce de Sardina La Vereda, Los Llanos y Balos. together represent a population of about 60000 residents.

The airport of Las Palmas and the center of Maspalomas are located about 15 km away from Vecindario. The city is not directly on the coast. The nearest beaches are those of Santa Lucia de Tirajana, Aguimes and Ingenio. Personally, I find the beach of Cruce de Arinaga the most charming. There are hardly any tourists, there has also been a beautiful promenade by the beach with an equally cozy bar.

Vecindario en Centro Comercial AtlanticoPreviously dominated agriculture in Vecindario, today this city is the largest outdoor shopping center of Gran Canaria. There are several shopping malls including Atlántico shopping center.

Arranged over two floors with many wonderful shops include clothing, computers, shoes, Carrefour, McDonalds and various bars and tapas restaurants. If you come by car there is a large car park at the front side of Avenida del Atlántico. This wide promenade runs parallel to the motorway to the GC-500. From the GC-500 you can go directly to the beautiful interior of Gran Canaria. Master you good the Spanish language then you can in the same shopping center to the cinema. Atlántico is located opposite the Gran Hotel Elba Vecindario Aeropuerto.

The oldest market in Gran Canaria

On Wednesday, I can certainly recommend the weekly market of Santa Lucia. This market is perhaps the oldest of the island of Gran Canaria. Currently, there are already more than 200 stand holders, and there are more and more. It is an authentic market include local products as fruits, vegetables, clothes, shoes, handbags, underwear and all at bargain prices. Fruit and vegetables are farmers on the island and are fresh and of excellent quality. It is a market with a special character and very animated. The local residents and market vendors are very friendly and helpful ..
