The Triana area is not only a shopping area, but also a piece of history. Located in the heart of Las Palmas, near the historic Vegueta, Triana is the perfect place to shop in an atmospheric setting. Calle Triana is the area’s main street and offers a mix of modern shops, traditional boutiques, and cosy cafés. Don’t forget to try a typical bocadillo (sandwich) or enjoy a sweet treat on one of the many terraces.
Triana also offers a rich cultural programme. Every first Sunday of the month, the Shopping Party takes place here, with shops open from 11am to 6pm and special events for children and concerts.
Las Arenas, Las Palmas’ largest shopping centre, is just 15 minutes from the city centre and offers more than 100 shops, including popular chains such as Primark, C&A, and Media Markt. After shopping, relax in one of the many restaurants or cafés, or enjoy the sea breeze on one of the terraces.
For families, there is also plenty to do. Children will love the Disney Store and Hello Kitty shop, and there is even a large McDonald’s with a playground. Don’t forget to visit Bazars, cosy convenience stores selling soft drinks, tobacco, newspapers and souvenirs. A walk along the promenade will also take you to the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, an iconic landmark at the end of Paseo Las Canteras.
El Muelle is a must-visit shopping centre in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Situated on the seafront near the harbour, it offers a unique shopping experience with stunning sea views. Here you will find a mix of local and international brands such as Zara and Mango, as well as specialist fashion and electronics boutiques.
In addition to shopping, you can enjoy a modern cinema, various restaurants and bars with open-air terraces, perfect for relaxing with views of the harbour. El Muelle regularly organises events and activities that bring the shopping centre to life. From fashion shows and concerts to children’s activities and seasonal festivals, there is always something going on. During the Christmas period, El Muelle is beautifully decorated, with an atmospheric Christmas market and special offers in the shops.
In 2024, El Muelle will undergo a large-scale renovation to make the shopping centre even more modern and attractive. Don’t miss it during your visit to Las Palmas!
